Why we use it and the legal basis
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Running your account, billing, and providing the service | Contract (we need this to give you the service) |
| Keeping the service secure, preventing fraud, and debugging | Legitimate interest (recognised under UK data protection law) |
| Sending service updates or important security notices | Contract or legitimate interest |
| Marketing emails (if any) | Contract or legitimate interest (we require you to receive emails from us for new features, products, or similar during the alpha testing period to ensure our alpha testers are actively participating in tests. After this, you may opt out entirely.) |
We do not make automated decisions about you that have legal or significant effects.
Who sees your data
Our staff and the following sub-processors who help run the service:
- OVH (hosting infrastructure)
- Cloudflare (security and CDN)
- AWS (email, backup, and auxiliary services)
- Grafana (log collection, metrics collection, and monitoring)
- Formspree (website forms)
- Infomaniak (email and support requests)
Your uploaded files and documents stay in the UK. However, some account data (such as emails for authentication or support) may be processed in the EU by our sub-processors. The UK government has decided that EU data protection law is adequate for these transfers, so your data is safeguarded by that adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data for up to 60 days after you close your account or we terminate it, then we delete it. We may delete your data between 0 and 60 days from the date your account is closed or terminated.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. We will acknowledge your request within 30 days and respond properly without undue delay.
If you are unhappy with how we use your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
